This web site is solely owned and maintained by Ralan. It started on 5 December 1996 and provides organized writing links and up-to-date listings of markets, which only accept submissions of speculative genres, or elements of these genres. As I began to share this information with other writers they soon started helping back, pointing out new markets and noting changes in currently listed ones. Many publishers and editors are also actively involved and this three-way interaction continues today. Other sites now provide a similar service, but arguably Ralan.com, at least in the speculative genres, still has the most up-to-date market listings.
